Forum bilateral de afaceri Romania – Republica Moldova, Iasi, 25 noiembrie

During 25-27 November 2016, at Palas Mall Iasi took place, for the first time in Romania, the exhibition Made in Moldova.

The event was organise by: Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Republic of Moldova, Bacau Chamber of Commerce and Industry and with the support of Iasi City Mall, MIEPO Chisinau, Bilateral Chamber of Commerce Rep Moldova – Romania.

The manifestations benefit from the support of European Commission in the framework of EASTINVEST initiative – a European Commission initiative, managed by EUROCHAMBRES, implemented by the East Invest Alliance.

East Invest is a regional investment and trade facilitation projects for the economic development of the Eastern Neighbourhood region, launched in the framework of the European Partnership initiative.

The event Made in Moldova that took place in Iasi had the objective to facilitate the commercial relations between the Moldavian producers and interested partners from Romania.

At the event participated more than 60 companies from Moldova, from the following activity fiellds: agriculture, food industry, textile industry, furniture, carpentry, building materials, lightning articles, glass articles, handcrafts.

At the opening of the exhibition, Mr Sergiu Harea, President of the Moldavian Chamber of Commerce and Industry appreciate that: “the cooperation between Rep of Moldova and Romania register in the framework of a good neighbour relation, being influenced by 2 factors: the European frame and the geopolitical international context, and the level of the bilateral contacts and national preferences of the two states.” Also, the President declared that this event allows Moldavian producers to enter in new Romanian  markets, to promote their products and to sign new cooperation agreements.

The mayor of City of Iasi, as host of the events declared that this exhibition is welcomed because the Moldavian products are recognised for their high quality. Although the bilateral commerce between the two countries are in slight decrease, we appreciate the products made in Moldova and we give our entire support to the companies.

Present at the event, Mr. Octavian Calmic, Vice-Primeminister, Minister of Economy from Republic of Moldova declared that “the exhibition Made in Moldova is living proof the commercial relations and not only, between our states, are closely related. The Moldavian Government and the Romanian support the business environments and will continue to create favourable conditions for the development of the economic environment.”

Mr Costin Borc, Vicepriminister, Minister of Economy, Trade and Business Relations of Romania mentioned that: ” the establishment of active commercial relations leads to major changes in the society, facts that encourage us to support the companies activities and to develop the volume of the trade and of the investments”.

The programme of the event Made in Moldova included also the Bilateral economic Forum Romania – Republic of Moldova, attended by over 120 participants: entrepreneurs from North East Region of Romania, companies from Republic of Moldova, local authorities and public institutions, and also business associations from Romania.

Partners in the organization of the Forum, Chambers of Commerce from North East Region of Romania and the entrepreneurs present at the Forum appreciated the BtoB meetings as a first step for a future good cooperation with the Moldavian companies that participated to the event.
